I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Source: over-protected-life)
2012 is almost upon me, and I am not one to make and break resolutions. (it’s easy, because I never make them, making it impossible to break them.) I feel like the winds of change are in the air and it’s time for me to set some goals for myself and see them through. 2012 seems like the perfect year, as I am a slave to the numbers. (that sounds better than admitting I have a weird OCD, right? ‘12 = 3 when added together, and 3 is my native tongue, whatever that means.) My first goal is to document my words more, whether it be here, over at my other little place on the web or in my new journal. (I LOVE JOURNALS WITH BLANK PAGES!!) that wasn’t a caps lock accident by the way, I really do get excited at new journals with many blank pages to fill.) Is there a point to this entry? Not really… but with me, there never really is. In case you’ve failed to figure me out by now, I am totally random.
MORE THAN A ZIP CODE!
It’s no secret to anyone who has spent more than 54 seconds with me, whether it be in real life, or in the world of the wide web, how much my heart beats for Beverly Hills, 90210. As an avid lover of television and of all things pop culture, when I am asked what my favorite tv show of all-time is, I always have to give that a thought. I have a few that are tied for the #1 slot, and Beverly Hills, 90210 is not one of them. Before you have a chance to choke on your Peach Pit, let me explain further: BH, 90210 is more than a favorite show, it’s a way of life for me. That is the response I always give. I was 15 when the show debuted and for 10 years, it was my parallel universe. Nearly 12 years after the series finale aired, I still feel that way. In 2003 I chased Ian Ziering across a Planet Hollywood in LA, the entire time yelling “STEVE! STEVE SANDERS!!” I know the actor’s name is Ian, but in that moment I felt as if I were chasing a best friend from high school. (After following him into the elevator, I shook his hand and thanked him “for the best 10 years of my life”.) Just about an hour ago, I was doing random things around my house while a season 10 DVD played in my living room… and I nearly flipped my Walsh when I heard this line from Steve Sanders himself:
“It’s not just a car; it’s a way of life for me, ok?” ~Steve Sanders
The Zip Code is in my blood… forever.
(and in case you failed to notice, I am a little dramatic…
& quite possibly the long lost son of Aaron Spelling.)
what she said…
I just felt an Earthquake.
In Kansas.
“It’s the end of the world as we know it….”

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.

wow. my 2002-03 year summed up, perfectly.
It was the best of times,
It was the worst of times,
The longest year,
The shortest year of my life,
The worst monetary pay,
The best emotional pay,
The hardest change,
The biggest gains,
The best friends,
The worst goodbyes,
It was ameriChaos,
I am ameriContent.
Those who can, do. Those who can do more, volunteer.
– Author Unknown (via myvistayear) Via My VISTA Yearif you ask me to describe what it is I love about LeAnn Rimes, I will request that you schedule an appointment with me… because we need to pencil in enough time for me to go on for a good while. (this is one of many, many reasons I adore her.)
and the subject was random.
is there a reason to this tumblr post? No. why? because the subject is random. I was thinking in my head earlier, what if there was an award given out for the most random tumblr account, and first prize was a year supply of Lucky Charms?? I would certainly hope mine would be random enough to at least qualify me as a finalist… that being said… let me tell you the random thought in my head that started this biz. (biz is short for business, because I was too lazy to type out that word, but then I typed out this explanation which is like 54 times longer, so whatevs.) (whatevs is hipster talk for whatever… the cool kids use it.) what??
so… in class this afternoon… (yes, nearly 18 years later, I still haven’t graduated. I’m almost there, so please stop using judging eyes here… my world is void of negative thoughts, unless it’s my Celebrity Slap List we are discussing…) anyway, we were discussing ‘words per minute’ regarding elementary readers. I started singing ‘Words By Heart’ by Billy Ray Cyrus in my head immediately… and I thought… I need to hear that song. So I downloaded it… for .99, not even $1.29. I feel like I found a hidden treasure at a garage sale of a house where I don’t even know the people who live there. why do I love that song so hard? because I’m random. (mental note: potential auto-b, or Lifetime original TV movie title… Because I’m Random: the Jimmie Taylor Story.)
I think that’s all I have to say about that. For now…
ps- if I do become a finalist in the contest I invented, I hope I don’t win… because I’m a vegetarian, and Lucky Charms are not vegetarian-friendly. (and that’s a true story.)
